If you are looking for large private cottages for rent in Ontario you have come to the right place. "Breathe Easy" is a country house paradise on 140 acres, with expansive views of rolling forest and field in all directions, in a region with many rivers and small lakes, and close to Georgian Bay and Lake Huron, the Bruce Trail and conservation areas - perfect for your family reunion or holiday year-round. If you enjoy stargazing, the night sky is stunningly brilliant. The Styx River (part of the Saugeen River system) is at the base of the property, and the region is great for fishing, hiking, canoeing, kayaking, and exploring the natural environment, or, in winter,for skiing, snowmobiling and much more. (Check out our recreation page.) This quiet cottage rental is near Toronto and in the heart of an area rich in culture (arts, crafts, music, theatre) and organic farming. Breathe in clean oxygen-rich air (and enjoy a pristine environment, revelling in the sounds of nature). Breathe out the noises and tensions of city life. Visitors always comment on the harmony, peace and relaxation they feel here.

Enjoy this very welcoming and gracious country retreat. The south end has cathedral ceilings and consists of: a large, charming, eat-in kitchen, equipped for gourmet cooking (deluxe glasstop stove, Cuisinart and many other appliances), with a screened porch off it; a well-stocked library/diningroom off the kitchen; a broad hallway (our halls are bigger than the rooms in many rentals!) to a large, bright livingroom, with fireplace, a long banquet table (for large groups or game playing ... check out our games cupboard and kids' toys and craft materials), french doors onto a deck; and a laundry room/two piece bathroom. The north end consists of a large entry hall with stairway (and stairlift - we are handicap accessible) down to the lower level; two bedrooms (queen-sized) with patio doors onto decks; a large office and an oversized bathroom/exercise room with two tubs and a separate toilet/sink area. There are many windows and great views everywhere on the main level, and radiant floor heating and HRV throughout the house.

The lower level consists of: a very large sunroom/bedroom with up to 10 single beds in it (and we also have two extra self-inflating queen size mattresses available); a large bedroom with a queen-sized bed, a single bed and room for another single (we keep extra beds in storage); a smaller bedroom with a double bed and a crib; a sitting area with a pull-out queen-sized sofabed, another couch and two daybeds; a three-piece (shower) bathroom; and a large play/workroom with ping pong table, darts, a sitting area and a daybed. In all, we can sleep 22 people on beds downstairs with mattresses available for another 6-8 for a cottage total from 26-36 bed spaces!

There are two decks and a screened porch, a firepit for bonfires and two barbecues, televisions, VCR, DVD and videos.

This deluxe country cottage is very well built and ideal for large family groups or corporate retreats. Kids can make as much noise as they want downstairs or outside while adults have quiet conversations upstairs and there is lots of space to break into separate workgroups at an office retreat.
